Why Pasture Raised? Open space, warm sunshine, fresh grass filled with bugs and grubs, and cool shade all add up to a happy, healthy chicken!
Delivered as day old chicks direct from a local hatchery by the local post office,
we nestle the young peeps safely in our warm brooder for the first 2 weeks of their lives.
Then they are old enough to move out to the pasture to grow and mature.
We house our growing broilers in Salatin Style Pens
which move daily to give the birds fresh pastures.
These pens provide safety from predators, as well as sunshine and shade
the birds are treated with respect and processed humanely.
